We started class today by completing an activity where students pretend they are advisors to the ruler of the Muslim Empire. We had wonderful discussions about how to rule an empire so diverse and large, while at the same time making sure our ideas were consistent with the teachings of Islam. We didn't have time to do the section review, but we discussed the homework during the later portion of class.
