Debate Tomorrow!

Today in class we covered Ch 10 Sec 1. Students began a chart listing the powers held by Popes in Medieval Europe as well as the Kings of Europe during the same time period. Students need to complete at least ten reasons why popes and ten reasons why kings should have more power in Medieval Europe. If this assignment is completed by tomorrow students will divide into two groups, each side arguing in favor of popes or kings. Points will be awarded based on the written assignment, strength of arguments, and clarity of ideas during the debate which will take place tomorrow. Parents should review the ten reasons their child has written down and ensure its clarity and accuracy with the text from ch 10 sec 1. It should be fun!
